Adventures in Plein Air Painting

This is a video from a painting trip in the Sierra's last July. Tony Pro and I paint outdoors, lighting, hail and mosquitoes get in the way and hilarity ensues.

I really enjoyed your film, very entertaining! I've never seen so many mosquitoes--ouch!!! I'm a fair weather painter.

Ha! Hilarious! I love it. Come down to Kentucky sometime and I'll introduce you to turkey mites. Like invisble mosquitos on steriods.

Hail-larious! It felt like I was being bitten by mosquitoes as I watched it.

As a videographer, though, Jeremy, you really dropped the ball when you missed getting the footage of Tony wrestling the bear.

Hi Jeremy, I am probably the first of many who will tell you it is time for a new post on your blog. Someone suggested we come visit you and ask that, guess who that might be, lol.

Hi Jeremy.
I got a real kick out of watching this video. You guys really stuck it out. Those mosquitos would have had me freaking out.
Great editing job.
Thanks for getting a post up, even if it is something that I had seen already.
Figured you needed some traffic, so I sent a few people your way and posted a link to the video on Blip.tv

Very funny. I'm looking forward to the dvd-release. Guess you don't use those water soluble oils then?

You guys are hilarious, what a day! And I thought we had a mosquito problem here in Houston, Texas. (next time bring some OFF for those mosquitos.)
THANK YOU for putting together this video, I enjoyed watching it from the comfort of my temperature controlled house. I laughed a lot and feel like I've had a little adventure myself today so I'm ready to get back to painting.

Jeremy, did you manage to finish the painting, realy looking forward to see it!

Great fun! I had to laugh all loud, I am glad to see I am not the only one fighting the elements in outdoor painting.

Epic and ridiculous. I enjoy this so much, thanks for posting it. I'm a fan of both you guys from Nashville.

btw, the soundtrack is especially good. Excellent selections.

And I thought it was bad in Texas - I'd rather dodge rattlesnakes than deal with that many mosquitoes!! Love the vertical palette...Hilarious. Great soundtrack, too. Thanks!

Hilarious! great choice of music as well.

You should try the Scottish highland in the summer, much like your video weather wise. They have midges, which bite like mosquitoes, but are tiny and travel in huge swarms. Man that is an experience.

That was great! My husband was watching over my shoulder and we laughed our butts off! We backpack up in the Sierras but you guys really got a taste of what the mountains can throw at you.

Bravo! You guys painted until it finally got to dangerous to do so (I bet Soltek didn't mention in it's disclaimer that it shouldn't be used during a thunderstorm) You guys are true plein air artists.

This took some wrinkles out of hectic day for me--THANKS! Looks like you were lucky the mosquitoes didn't pick you both up and drop you in a lake. Loved the shot of TP leaping up at the clap of thunder--hope he brought the change of underwear.
Great video. Thanks.

Hi Jeremy, I just found your wonderful "Adventures in Plein Air Painting" video on American Artist's video collections and just had to stop by to thank you for the great Monday Laugh I just enjoyed!

Loved the "Men Challening the Wilderness" spin on your "Adventures in Plein Air Painting". No pretty butterflies...just bloodthirsty MOSQUITOES and MEN vs the raw elements! LoL : )

Thanks!
