Portrait Society of America 2008


I just found out that my painting La Meneuse de Revue got in as a finalist in this years PSOA competition. The painting is a portrait of Raquel Munoz. It will be on display at the conference in the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center Hotel in Philadelphia April 10th - 13th.

I like this one alot, i think what i like most is the look you captured with the eyes and mouth, all on a slight tilt as well, nice pose she struck and really nice rendering.

Can you talk about this painting a little, it's always intrigued me. Is that how she normally dresses? It's part elegant and refined and part erotic. Just wondering if there's a story behind it?
